Japan Exchange Group
Straits Financial offers access to trade products on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), part of the JPX Group, which is a licensed financial instruments exchange under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act of Japan. TSE has established its position as Japan’s central market, and is ranked the third in the world and the first in Asia by trading value and market capitalization.
TSE is the largest stock exchange in Japan, headquartered in its capital city of Tokyo. The exchange has more than 2,200 listed companies, broken down into 3 sections. Section 1 is aimed for large companies, section 2 for mid-sized, and the 3rd for high growth startup companies.
Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) was established on January 1, 2013 when the Tokyo Stock Exchange Group and Osaka Securities Exchange combined business models. Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc., Osaka Exchange, Inc., Japan Exchange Regulation, and Japan Securities Clearing Corporation are subsidiaries of JPX.
After Japan Exchange Group (JPX) was launched on January 1st, 2013, Tokyo Stock Exchange partnered with the Osaka Securities Exchange Ltd., and by July 16th 2013, JPX integrated the OSE cash equity market (including 1st and 2nd Sections and JASDAQ) into TSE.
