Straits Financial (SF) has successfully cleared the 1st SGX OTC Container Freight Futures Contract using the innovative Braemar Screen platform. This milestone, achieved in collaboration with Pillar, a commodity trading advisor, enhances risk management for American importers. SF continues to lead in promoting key and innovative contracts to support the financial and commodity derivative markets, providing global access with a local perspective.

Straits Financial (SF) has successfully cleared the 1st SGX OTC Container Freight Futures Contract, powered by Braemar Screen, a bespoke trading platform for derivatives trading. Braemar Screen, the cutting-edge digital platform is developed by Braemar Securities and Zuma Labs, enabling market participants to trade container FFAs seamlessly, providing real-time market data, analytics, and trading capabilities.

 

Straits Financial also jointly collaborated with Pillar, a venture capital-backed commodity trading advisor, to hedge container risk on behalf of the American corporate that imports from Asia. Besides the fact that SF is appointed as the clearing firm for this transaction, the American corporate also holds a clearing account with SF.
