Paul Fry
Managing Member, Head of Sales, Straits Financial LLC
Paul Fry serves as the Managing Member, Head of Sales of Straits Financial LLC.
Paul manages the key functions of both the Straits Operations and Technology divisions. Paul also assumes the role of driving the business development of Straits execution, clearing and broker services.
Paul has been in the futures industry for the last 25 years, holding many senior positions in FCMs such as Cadent Financial Services LLC, Refco LLC and Lind-Waldock prior to his role with the Straits group.
His duties included overseeing market related risk, front end systems, sales, and various other aspects of a clearing firm. Paul travels frequently to meet with customers, gathering market intelligence and trends, and attends industry events to keep a robust perspective.
Gene Orr
Chief Executive Officer, Straits Financial LLC
Gene Orr serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Straits Financial LLC.
Gene is responsible for developing new business opportunities globally and building bridges between the US and other continents such as Asia.
Gene has been in the industry for the last 25 years, holding senior positions at leading global financial institutions such as Citigroup Global Markets, HSBC, and Jefferies.
Gene recently served as the CEO of AQG Capital Management, now known as KB Asset Management, in Singapore.
Gene is also well-educated and has earned a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Birmingham in U.K and holds an MA from Bond University in Australia.
Roseline Ho
Country Head, Straits Financial Indonesia
Roseline Ho serves as the Country Head of Straits Financial Indonesia and as the President Director of PT Straits Bullion.
Roseline is responsible for the set-up and engineering of business processes, commercialization plans and business development of bullion business in Jakarta and has held the position for around 12 years.
Roseline also manages trading activities with HNW retail and institutional customers in Indonesia and institutional client in Hong Kong. Under her leadership, PT Straits Bullion managed to achieve Exclusive Distributorship of PAMP Gold in Indonesia, the first in the world to be awarded the Exclusive status.
Roseline was the Senior Vice President in Singapore, responsible for the Financial Brokerage under the subsidiary of the CWT Group, where she pioneered the start-up of SFG global offices in Chicago, Singapore, and China; specializing in the delivery of full-range derivatives and OTC broking and clearing services.
Before her endeavours with the Strait Financial Group, Rosaline was the Head of Markets & Membership in SGX and the Vice President of Retail FX in DBS Bank.
Joseph Lin
VP, Head of Business Development, Straits Financial Group
Joseph Lin serves as the Vice President and Head of Business Development of Straits Financial Group.
Joseph has been with the firm for more than a decade since its early years. In his role as Group Business Strategy, Joseph works closely with the Group CEO to formulate strategic business directives and implement them for the company. He also works closely with the global offices to explore and implement new business initiatives.
Javen Lim
Group Chief Technology Officer, Straits Financial Group
Javen Lim serves as the Global Chief Technology Officer of Straits Financial Group.
AS Group CTO, Javen is responsible for formulating the future technology roadmap and architecture of the group, ensuring that the technological resources meet the company’s short and long-term needs.
In his previous roles, he was the Global Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at DFS Group Limited, where he provided strategic leadership, structure, planning, and created a quality enterprise system landscape and fiscal management of DFS IT.
Prior to DFS, Javen was the Director of Global Infrastructure & IT Security at APL Logistics and AVP, Infrastructure Solution Architecture, at OCBC Bank.
Jennifer Foo
Group Chief Operating Officer, Straits Financial Group
Jennifer Foo serves as the Group Chief Operating Officer of Straits Financial Group.
Jennifer oversees the firm’s risk, governance, regulatory and compliance departments.
She has been with Straits Financial Group for over a decade and is one of the pioneer members of the group.
Chong Ming Young
Group Chief Financial Officer, Straits Financial Group
Chong Ming Yong serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Straits Financial Group.
Chong is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and procurement functions.
Prior to joining Straits, Chong was an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP and was also in charge of the Finance team at another futures brokerage. He is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
Susan Quek
VP, Head of Sales, Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd
Susan Quek serves as the Vice President and Head of Sales of Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd.
Susan has at least 15 years of experience in clearing and e-trading sales dealing with various asset classes such as commodity, financials, and indices.
Prior to joining Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd, Susan has been with various financial institutions namely Newedge, Credit Suisse and ABN Clearing.
Susan has vast experience in offering the financing facility, clearing services and e-trading infrastructure to the prime brokerage clients trading various derivatives contracts.
James Wang
Head, Sales and Dealing, Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd
James Wang serves as the Head of Sales and Dealing of Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd.
Before joining Straits Financial, James worked for a variety of financial institutions, most notably HKEX/LME, Societe Generale, Mizuho Corporate Bank and China International Capital Corporation.
His working experience includes being a marketing rep with HKEX/LME. Marketer with investment banks, focusing on commodity derivatives sales in Great China.
James has also been a business development manager in charge of China market for several well-known FCMs in Singapore.
Kevin Tan
EVP, Chief Commercial Officer, Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd
Kevin Tan serves as the EVP and Chief Commercial Officer of Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd.
Kevin is part of the management team and focus on the commercial aspects of the business, with a focus on growth and driving expansion. He also looks after the global over-the-counter businesses.
Kevin holds a BA(Hons) in Business and Msc in Management Science.
Prior to joining Straits, Kevin started his career on the trading floor of Bank of America and Keppel Bank (now part of OCBC) and held senior management positions as Managing Director of ICAP Singapore and Managing Director of BGC Asia Commodities.
Kevin is passionate about financial markets history and evolution, financialization of commodities markets; and alternative investment asset classes.
Roger Quek
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd
Roger Quek heads the Straits Financial Services Pte Ltd business.
Managing a team of regional front, middle and back-office staff in Singapore, Indonesia and Dubai, Roger handles all matters relating to its regulated activities of dealing in derivative contracts.
Roger brings with him more than 25 years of market experiences in financial, energy and commodities, where he had led regional offices in major financial institutions and corporations.
Jeremy Ang
Group Chief Executive Officer, Straits Financial Group
Jeremy Ang serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Straits Financial Group.
Jeremy also serves as the commissioner of Asia Commodity Marketplace and Asia Commodity Clearing House, a subsidiary of Straits Financial Group. As Global CEO of the group, he is responsible for the formulation and the steering of the group’s strategy.
With more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry, Jeremy was the CEO of the Singapore Commodities Exchange, expanding the exchange from a sole product to a multi-product commodity exchange. Jeremy was also the head of SGX Asia Clear Commodities initiative, where he launched Asia’s first multi-asset class clearing platform, offering a one-stop clearing facility for freight, energy, and agricultural products.
Jeremy was also part of the management team at DBS Vickers Securities (Singapore) and the REFCO group.
